Jeffrey Zinsmeister

Jeffrey Zinsmeister is a litigator focused on financial services cases and financial regulatory issues, including those affecting fintech companies. He brings detailed analysis to each of his cases and enjoys being a counselor to his clients.

Admitted to practice in California in 2005 after receiving his law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, Jeff served as a law clerk for the Honorable Rosemary Barkett of the U.S. Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Following his clerkship, he worked as an associate with Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP, where he also did extensive pro bono work, receiving awards from the San Francisco Bar Association.

Jeff also has experience with international affairs and public international law, having worked for almost a decade with the U.S. Department of State and Organization of American States, and having litigated before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. He has also served on the board of the Organization of American States’ Medical Benefits Trust Fund, responsible for the financial solvency of that international treaty-based organization’s retirement benefits plan. He speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
